OUR APPROACH
Sustainability isn't a side project.
It runs through every repair.
For a yard operating on the Atlantic coast, sustainability is operational — it is the difference between a clean harbour and a polluted one, a trained workforce and an imported one, a trusted yard and a forgettable one.
REPNAV's sustainability framework rests on four operational programs — an ESG strategy at the company level, a Health-Safety-Environment (HSE) system at the yard level, a Technical School to grow local talent, and a community initiative called Dream Together. Each program is run with measurable goals, not slogans.

ESG Strategy
Environment, Social, and Governance - measured against international standards.
HSE & Safety
Three Ps framework - Protect people, Prevent incidents, Preserve the environment
Talent & Community
Technical School + Dream Together - building Angolan capability for generations.
ESG STRATEGY
Environment · Social · Governance
REPNAV reports against the three classic ESG pillars — with concrete operational programs and yard-level KPIs, not generic statements.

We reduce emissions, hazardous waste, and water consumption at every stage of the repair lifecycle.

We invest in our 136-person workforce — Angolan and international — with fair employment, training, and safe working conditions.

REPNAV operates under international quality standards with documented procedures, class-society oversight, and ethical business conduct.

HSE & SAFETY
Every successful operation
begins with safety.
REPNAV's Health, Safety & Environment policy is built around three principles — and reinforced by daily training, certified equipment, and documented incident response.
Principle 01
Protect
Protect People
Continuous safety training, certified PPE for every shift, on-site medical clinic, and zero tolerance for unsafe practices on the yard floor.
ZERO Accidents on the yard
Principle 02
Prevent
Prevent Incidents
Pre-job assessment on every task, hot-work permits enforced, daily toolbox talks, and a documented incident response system.
ZERO Harm to any worker
Principle 03
Preserve
Preserve Environment
Waste segregation, spill response equipment positioned across the yard, and harbour-authority-coordinated environmental monitoring.
ZERO Environmental incidents
TECHNICAL SCHOOL
Progress starts with people.
REPNAV's structured technical development program builds Angolan workforce capability across six certification levels — combining classroom learning with hands-on yard experience.
Local talent, global standards
Our Technical School is open to REPNAV employees and a small intake of external students from Luanda's communities. Each course leads to a skill certification, evidenced through both written exam and supervised practical work on the yard floor.
The program emphasizes safety, marine engineering fundamentals, and the specific skills our yard needs — welding, mechanical, electrical, painting, and diving.

Congratulations on earning the certification through your hard work and dedication.
DREAM TOGETHER
A repair yard with
a community to repair too.
Dream Together is REPNAV's NGO initiative — focused on education, youth opportunity, and coastal sustainability in the communities around Luanda Bay.

"To see smiling children is our happiness."
REPNAV's Dream Together programs are funded directly from yard operations — no external donations required, no donor strings attached. Every drydock contributes a small percentage to the community we operate in.
Partner. Hold us accountable.
Our sustainability reporting is open to clients, partners, and stakeholders. Request an audit, or ask how we can collaborate.
